Unmaintained Lot – Update

Management and a neighbor have been contacting the City of Imperial Beach regarding the unmaintained lot in regards to the overgrown vegetation and trees. We have contacted Assistant City Manager, Erika Cortez and have raised the ongoing concerns with fire hazards, wildlife concerns and potential damages that can be caused due to the overgrown tree along the fence.

As of September 19, 2022, we have received an update from the Assistant Fire Marshal, Tom Santos, with the Fire Prevention Division. Please see below:

“I contacted the neighboring property owner and expressed my concerns with the condition of the site. The Owner is being given a reasonable amount of time to provide correction and will revisit the situation in a few weeks.

I understand some of your residents may have contacted the City as well, please express to them that the corrective process has begun.”

Management will continue to monitor the lot and will continue to provide updates to the community.
